The way of country living, since 1985
Sherwood Mobilya has made bespoke furniture since 1985 in its 7,000 m² workshop in Ankara, Turkey, working in solid wood, leather and brass. Our collections are built by hand from oak, walnut, beech, ash, pine and Canadian poplar, in English country, French provincial, rustic lodge and classic styles alongside modern and leather lines. Every piece is made to your size, finish and upholstery, and we furnish anything from a single corner of a home to an entire hotel, restaurant or office as one project. With showrooms across Turkey and a project office in London, we deliver to the United Kingdom and Europe.
Workshop
Made in Ankara, by hand
Everything we sell is made in our own 7,000 m² facility in Siteler, Ankara. A team of about 30 craftsmen and 30 specialists carries out the joinery, carving, painting, distressing and upholstery by hand. Frames and tops are solid timber, not MDF or veneer. Production quality is certified to ISO 9001.

We choose the timber for the job: beech and ash for chairs and turned parts, oak and walnut for table and cabinet carcasses, pine, spruce and Canadian poplar for painted and distressed country finishes.

Questions we hear most
- Do you make furniture to custom sizes?
- Yes. Every piece in our catalogue can be made to a different width, height and depth. We also design and build fully bespoke pieces from a sketch or an architect’s drawing.
- Is your furniture handmade?
- Yes. Everything is made in our own workshop in Ankara, where the joinery, carving, painting, distressing and upholstery are carried out by hand by our craftsmen.
- Which woods do you use?
- Solid oak, walnut, beech, ash, pine, spruce and Canadian poplar. Frames and tops are solid timber; we do not use MDF or veneer.
- What styles do you make?

- Yes. On hotel, restaurant, office and residential projects we work alongside the architect and the client to design, make and install the whole space. Architects can download technical drawings from our Architect Portal.

- Yes. Through our project office in London we deliver and install across the United Kingdom and Europe.
